RSS Feeds
About RSS feeds
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds notify subscribers when specific content on a site is published or updated. It is an easy and free way to receive updates on N.C. MarketReady efforts for farmers and Extension agents in North Carolina. You choose the sections on the N.C. MarketReady Web site you want to follow and you’ll receive notification whenever new information is published in those areas.
How does it work?
To use RSS, you'll need to use a news reader – a program that basically collects the updates from the feeds you select in real time. News readers come in different varieties, but there are plenty of free readers to choose from. Two good examples are Google Reader and Bloglines. N.C. MarketReady’s RSS feeds should work with any standard reader.
Let’s get started
Pick one or more of the feeds below. If you want updates for each of the individual sections (such as Program News), choose the Main Site Feed rather than subscribing to each feed individually.
As you choose the feed(s) you want, you will be directed to a page where you can pick the reader with which you wish to subscribe. Select the reader that you are using and you are good to go!
Unsubscribing
Your e-mail service should offer you help in changing settings or unsubscribing from an RSS feed. Information on how to do this with Outlook 2007 is available here.
